Sales Executive

Key Tasks

  • To sell Strategi Solutions portfolio of services via telephone and face to face activity
  • To manage client Social media accounts in accordance with the client’s requirements
  • To actively manage the Newcastle Borough Council account. Ensuring that all KPI are hit and SLA is upheld
  • Actively sell the Social Media packages to new clients
  • To actively source new clients
  • Candidates must hold or be studying for the CIPD qualification, ideally level 5/7 and have demonstrable experience in a fast-paced, multi-site environment, ideally in the transport / logistics sector


Customer & Sales Approach 

  • Support your manager in driving and develop existing customer relationships as well as identify and win new business through effective leads management
  • Support customers in developing their marketing approach throughout the whole sales process
  • Support your manager in ensuring team on driving value for the customer by understanding their needs and what is important to them
  • Support your manager in ensuring you manage customer response versus customer expectation levels
  • Maintain and develop industry, product and customer-specific knowledge using provided marketing material and reach/response data (including competitive titles and products)
  • Support your manager in ensuring that you are securing long term commitment from customers through planned campaigns
  • Deliver and execute effective client presentations
  • Drive maximum revenue share of customer spend by ensuring utilisation of our full portfolio
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all relevant key businesses and organisations
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the customer base and drive sector movement


Performance Management  

  • Evaluate client year on year performance
  • Monitor and drive an increase in number of active accounts through achievement of agreed sales conversion levels
  • Monitor and drive contracts and agreements form existing an new customers
  • Manage your own time effectively utilising week plans
  • Understand company objectives to and ensure you understand the role they play in achieving these objectives
  • Ensure you are focused on delivering against their standards of performance and objectives
  • Attend monthly planning & forecasting meetings to look at ways to influence revenues in the month ahead, discuss ideas and initiatives to develop your customer base and communicate any updated company information
  • Work with the team to develop category specific plans to deliver revenues
  • Generate ideas for revenue opportunities / incentives and ensure that you contribute to initiatives to aid success
  • In the absence of your manager to monitor client activity by customer liaison and effective face to face calls 


Systems & Controls    

  • To achieve own daily, weekly and monthly standards of performance and objectives
  • Ensure all supporting sales material and customer records are kept up to date
  • Ensure all sales admin and correspondence is completed to a high standard
  • Ensure you adhere to all relevant deadlines
  • Complete required documentation to record individual progress of client records
  • Ensure you record marketing sales approach activity levels and successes
  • Ensure that your knowledge and skills of complete sales process are kept up to date to enable you to deliver relevant and objective feedback
  • Dual call/Side by side when required woth your manager on a monthly basis to monitor performance and develop your own coaching skills and provide relevant feedback

  • Respond proactively to changes within the market place to capitalise on new opportunities and manage opportunity pipeline

  • Promote revenue generating activities and initiatives to aid in business success
